Eric studied law at the University of Trier (Germany). During his legal training (“Referendariat”) he worked amongst others for a law firm in Sydney, Australia. After completion of his Second Legal State Exam, Eric completed a postgraduate study program (Master of European Law, LL.M.) with focus on European Economic Law at the Europa-Institut Saarbrücken. For his master thesis "The Co-Determination Rights of the European Works Council and their Enforcement" Eric was awarded with the European Prize of the Villa Lessing.

Before joining avocado rechtsanwälte in 2009, Eric practiced as a lawyer with main focus on Labour and Employment Law at the Frankfurt office of a German commercial law firm.

Eric regularly advises medium-sized companies as well as national and international groups in Labour and Employment Law. Focuses are design and negotiation of terms and conditions for employment and service agreements, protection against dismissal and litigation.
