Kristina Schilder studied law at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster. During her legal studies she worked, among others, at law firms in London and Edinburgh. She absolved her traineeship (Referendariat) in Cologne and San Francisco. Kristina has been working for the Cologne office of avocado Rechtsanwälte since 2001.

Kristina advises German and international businesses and municipalities on all issues of individual and collective labour law. Her work includes the drafting of employment and bargaining agreements, litigation regarding the termination of employment agreements and other labour law issues, advice regarding restructurings, transfers of business divisions, and privatisations, as well as negotiations with workers’ councils and unions. Kristina has special expertise in the areas of flexible work time models and temporary employments.

Furthermore, Kristina gives preventive advice to enterprises and management and works as a criminal defence attorney for white collar crime and administrative offences. Among others, she has represented several managing directors of international companies in major white collar crime cases, as well as in complaints procedures before the European Commission regarding criminal offences under the Aliens Act, illegal supply of temporary workers and illegal employment
