Barbara studied Law at the University of Cologne. Prior to joining the Cologne office of avocado rechtsanwälte in 2002 she worked as a Rechtsanwältin in a law firm in Aachen specialising in civil law.

Her main areas of practice include the provision of legal advice relating to the protection of intellectual property rights as well as press and copyright law. In particular she is involved in solving complex problems of copyright law and represents medium-sized enterprises and corporate groups in trademark (registration) proceedings. A further focus of her work is the legal assessment of advertising campaigns as well as the legal review of foodstuffs labelling. Moreover, she supports numerous clients in the drafting and legal assessment of contracts for the supply of energy.
